The 2009 Ontario Budget proposed a harmonized sales tax (HST), which would come into effect on July 1, 2010. In addition, on July 23, 2009, the British Columbia (B.C.) Ministry of Finance issued a News Release proposing an HST which would also come into effect on July 1, 2010. The HST in Ontario and B.C. will be administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Synergy FSJ, is a Junior Division of the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce, held their first monthly 'mingler' in October and had an amazing turnout. Over 40 people turned out to meet and expand their business networks at the event. The 'mingler' was held at Fogg N Sudds and professionals from finances, real estate, oil & gas and many other industries came out to support this new event.
