Chamber President Andrew Tylosky poses questions to the new Premier and Transportation Minister

Chamber President Andrew Tylosky spoke to the packed house at the Pomeroy Hotel during Premier Christy Clark's first open house held in Fort St. John. 

Tylosky asked the Premier and Transporation Minister Lekstrom about the dangerous highway between the Alberta border and north of Fort St. John and plans for four laning or improving the route. 

Lekstrom responded that there are no solid plans at this point to twin the highway, but Lekstrom stated that "That stretch of road is among my top three priorities as Transportation minister".

Premier Clark to Raise Minimum Wage

Premier Christy Clark has announced an increase to the minimum wage in B.C. to $10.25 by May 2012. Increases will be done in stages with the first increase to $8.75 to happen on May 1st, the next to $9.50 in November and to $10.25 by May 2012.
