An Oktoberfest is a great time to bring friends, family and colleagues together. Originally Oktoberfest was a festival in October of 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese in Bavaria. Even since then it has grown in size and celebrations. The festival is filled with food, beer, dancing and decorations.

You don’t have to be German to celebrate Oktoberfest. We have everything you need to transform. With your registration you will receive: your hat, your cool beer mug, which you will use throughout the night….so hang on to it! Leaving the best to last….. you will receive your first beer on us!

Tickets are available at the Chamber office; call to reserve yours 250.785.6037 or from any of our Directors.

October 26 – Chamber Luncheon with guest speaker MLA Rob Howard

Air traffic is a very important vehicle for economic growth and cultural stimulation. Tourism, trade, investment, education and many other related industries are being artificially constrained by Canada’s current approach to OPEN SKIES.

There are a number of airlines wanting more access to Canada including airlines from Singapore, Taiwan and China. These are important connections for the development of our own Gateway. Governm…ents have collectively invested billions in pacific gateway infrastructure; we must now proceed with the policies to achieve a return on our investment.

MLA Rob Howard will be the guest speaker at a Chamber Luncheon on October 26th to discuss the importance of the OPEN SKIES agreements.
