Join us & MNP for highlights of the 2021 Federal Budget. As provinces navigate lockdowns and the roll-out of vaccines nationwide, this year’s budget is one of the most widely anticipated and important budgets of our time. This discussion will provide business owner’s further insight to understand, prepare and navigate the proposed changes. This is the first Federal Budget tabled since the October 2019 Federal Election.

Todd Tremblay – Senior Tax Manager

Todd Tremblay is a Senior Tax Manager with MNP Taxation Services, based in the Peace Region. Drawing on years of tax experience, Todd assists business owners in designing customized organizational structures to better meet the needs of their business, and to adapt to the environment that their business operates in.

 Todd enjoys working closely with family businesses in a wide range of industries including the Professional Services, Agricultural and Energy Sectors. Todd advises business owners on a broad range of tax matters including  Business Reorganizations, Family Trusts, Business Succession/Sales and Estate Planning.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2014. Todd completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course in 2017.

 

Scott Wisdahl – Business Advisor

Scott is a Business Advisor with MNP in Fort St. John and the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. A growth and profitability advisor, Scott helps owners set goals for their business, move forward and allow them to meet their personal needs and goals.

As part of his advisory role, Scott helps organizations move to cloud-based accounting and transform real-time financial information into real-world business insights and leads the Firm’s Peace Region Ease cloud practice.

Scott works with clients in many industries, including oilfield services and forestry, helping them with startup, tax minimization, estate planning, and buying and selling businesses.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in economics from the University of Victoria. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Certified General Accountant (CGA) in 1996. Scott graduated from the University of Cumbria in England with a Master of Laws in International Business (LL.M) in 2018.
