HST PUBLIC FORUMS – BC VOTERS WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF THE HST – BE INFORMED!

May 24th – HST Forum in Dawson Creek

HOW DOES IT WORK?
HST Public Forums are being held in BC From May 24th to June 9th, 2011 in advance of the HST Referendum.  The public sessions will give those in favor and opposed to the HST the opportunity to explain their views to citizens throughout the province.  You are invited to take part – attend the forums, watch them on this website www.hstpublicforums.ca/#discussion and participate in the discussion in our online forum, on Facebook and on Twitter.

GET THE FACTS!
The BC Government has made $500,000 available to ensure there’s well-informed public engagement on the HST before the referendum.  The Office of the Referendum Funding Decision Maker is responsible for distributing the funding to the yes and no sides.   Each side receiving funding will be invited to participate in the HST Public Forums.  Find out more about the HST and the yes and no sides by visiting www.hstpublicforums.ca

Forum locations and times:
The HST Public Forums will be held in BC public universities, colleges and institutes. Independent representatives of the post-secondary institutions will moderate the events in a non-partisan way giving each side the chance to present their positions and respond to questions from forum participants.

Registration is NOT required. Just show up and join the discussion.

If you can’t attend in person, you can view the forums on this website and participate in our online forums, on Facebook and on Twitter.

The HST Public Forums are separate from the HST telephone town halls currently underway. Those sessions are run by the BC Government.
