The Government of British Columbia has prepared, and is seeking input on, the draft Winter Motorized Recreation Management Plan in South Peace. The draft management plan identifies the management measures that British Columbia is proposing to implement to mitigate the impacts of winter motorized recreation on caribou and caribou recovery.
We are releasing the draft plan for public review and comment Today, May 19, 2021 by 4:30pm. We encourage you to share this engagement opportunity with your chamber and community. All of the above information will be made available through: https://engage.gov.bc.ca/caribou/ . Input on the draft plan can be submitted via an online survey and webmap, or via a written submission to firstname.lastname@example.org. British Columbia will use this information to inform decisions on the management of winter motorized recreation and to begin implementing the measures this fall in time for the 2021 – 2022 winter season.
